I am very excited to continue my career as the Principal of the west campus of the Career Technology Center. I look forward to helping students meet their college and career goals. Through the training we offer our students, we can provide a work force that will keep DeSoto County growing.

My husband and I have enjoyed living in DeSoto County since 2005. We both moved to this area to further our careers and to begin a family. We have two children: Noah (10) and Mollie Kate (8) who both attend DeSoto County Schools. My husband is the Director of Bands for Hernando High School.

I began my career in DeSoto County as a high school English teacher at DeSoto Central High School and Center Hill High School. In 2007 I began working as an assistant principal at Olive Branch High School and was named Principal of OBHS in November of 2013.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Education from Delta State University, a Master's degree in English from Mississippi State, and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Delta State.

Again, I am honored to continue my career at Career Tech West and look forward to working with students, parents, and the business community of DeSoto County.

Sincerely,
Allyson Killough, Principal

I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Early Childhood Education in 1998 from the University of Memphis and taught first grade at Horn Lake Elementary and Hernando Elementary from 1998-2002. I moved to Memphis City Schools and taught English as a Second Language for three years, second grade for one year, and pre-kindergarten for two. During this time I earned my Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi. I returned to DeSoto County Schools in 2008 and taught English Language Learners. After earning my Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership in 2010 from the University of Mississippi I became the district English Language Learners Coordinator from 2011-2016. I am now proud to serve as assistant principal at Career Tech West.

My husband, Brett, and I have been married 25 years and reside in Hernando. We have one son, Brannon. He is seventeen and a senior at Hernando High School.
